To use the onramp, select your destination chain and token or destination action and confirm the onramp amount. You will then proceed through the onramp flow to receive USDC on Polygon, our default intermediate token.
As soon as your wallet receives the USDC, we send a second transaction on your behalf to route these funds to your intended destination. This transaction only takes ~20 seconds and will occur automatically.
Fiat onramps only support a limited number of chains and tokens. USDC on Polygon is the cheapest chain and token pair from which we can route to your intended destination.
Even though you are asked to confirm your onramp to USDC on Polygon within the onramp flow, you will still receive your selected destination token.
Currently, the fiat onramp only supports U.S. customers located outside New York. We will be adding global support over the coming months. If you are located outside a supported region, you can still use our token bridge to move tokens between chains and complete destination actions.
On the final transaction confirmation screen, we will provide a link where you can view your transaction receipt. You will also receive an email from Stripe when your onramp to USDC on Polygon has completed.
Destination actions are onchain transactions submitted by application partners as shortcuts for users.
For example, many users onramp with the intent to purchase an NFT. Instead of onramping and purchasing the NFT existing within separate applications, Decent’s onramp seamlessly combines them into one flow. This creates a PayPal-style checkout experience.
This is the first time users can interact with any crypto application using fiat!
If there is an application that you would like to see featured, please submit it here.
If you login to the onramp with your email or social account and you see a destination address prompt, you will have to enter a wallet address to receive onramped funds.
This is a requirement because Decent creates a new wallet for users logging in with email or social. This onramp wallet will not have the same address as your typical EOA.
If you are coming from an application, the app has likely already autofilled the correct destination for your funds.
Stripe will notify you if your transaction fails during the onramp. You can reach out to their customer support team. If your destination transaction fails, you will receive an error message from Decent.
Depending on when the transaction reverts, you will either be refunded to the wallet you have connected to the onramp or the destination wallet you have entered on the chain you have selected.
If you login with email or social, Decent creates an embedded wallet for you. This is a self-custodial, fully functional Ethereum wallet; however, it is only functional within Decent Checkout until you export it.
To use this wallet within other onchain applications, click on your account in the top right and select "Export Wallet."
